Who are students of ILERI?
ILERI,is an institution of international relations studies, preparing studends for careers of international organisations in Paris.
The students of ILERI are, serious and respected young adults who are able to understand today’s world and its needs, with the capacity to find solutions for the future. This ability is possible thanks to the associations created in the institute.
ILERI Exchange and the antenna ILERI UNICEF have united with the association Mere Isabelle to help the Vietnamese vulnerable minorities.
Year after year, ILERI Exchange, a student association that is affiliated to ILERI Paris with a humanitarian goal, of a development and a cultural exchange whose objective is commitment to people in need. Created in 2012, the association wishes to contribute while being strongly convinced that we should all learn to reach out.
After Togo, Burkina-Faso, Estonia and last year Haiti, the association has found a new challenge this year, and is offering the students a way to help!
This year, we are uniting our motivation and strength with the antenna UNICEF of the school, sharing the same values of humanitarian, to lead this project in the best way possible.
It is for this reason that we have decided to create a partnership with the association “Mère Isabelle: Emergency in Vietnam” which has considerable professional experience in this country. The association “Mère Isabelle” was named after the nun Tran-Thi-Kim-Huong and was created on 14th November 1997. Today it is directed by Mr Maurice Benoit.
The objectif of this association is to support the humanitarian action that Tran-Thi-Kim-Huong started in Vietnam to support poor people with moral, material or financial help. Also, to organize and support the other actions that Mère Isabelle started. The association proposes missions of construction and of moral help for the vulnerable vietnamese population, like taking care of abandoned children or orphans. These actions are financed by the partnerships, the associations or volunteers covered by the “volunteer charter”.
Our common project
Thus, in partnership with the association “Mère Isabelle: Emergency in Vietnam”, 15 ILERI students are getting to work to build rooms for this Vietnamese population. Indeed three families are going to benefit from a new long lasting house. The roof, the security, and the hope for better days are brought to them with a true cultural exchange that they will enjoy at the same time as they improve their living conditions. Furthermore, this will allow the participants to live an authentique experience that will encourage them to meet a new culture, and to engage them in a humanitarian mission!
